MusicaNoir/Ensemble Noir presents:

The World Premiere of Orange Clouds - a new multimedia work for film and live music that infiltrates the genre of the cantata to explore the concept of precedence: why do we care who was the first to do this, the first to do that? The story meditates on the life of South African AIDS activist Simon Nkoli and other pioneers.

Libretto & video by Canadian filmmaker John Greyson, Video by Geoff Pugen, Music by Bongani Ndodana-Breen. Chantelle Grant (soprano), Vanya Abrahams (tenor), Ray McKenna (baritone) and the MusicaNoir Players conducted by Ndodana-Breen.
